@HoneyPlumbob I found an old thread that related to a very similar issue and pointed the user to the following support post.
Have you tried the steps listed in this post? It does sound like your installation has corrupted somehow, even re installing may not
fully clear the old config files from your machine so the steps listed would be well worth following.

- 5 years ago@Plankton027 cheers for this, i am just going through various pages now. I've just tried the whole back up/ create a new folder and start up but it still happens that the play button won't register, its blue but it won't let me click on it at all.

@HoneyPlumbob You can also try disabling Windows notifications while you play. Sometimes your computer will think you're clicking the notification "under" the game window rather than something in the game window itself.
If that doesn't help, disable Game Bar. Hit Windows key-i, select Gaming, then Game Bar, and turn it off. You can disable Game Mode too, although that doesn't usually affect clicking.
- 5 years ago@puzzlezaddict Thank you ! i will try this, i've just done the rigmoral of uninstalling Origin and TS4 again and hoping it works okay this time when i install it.
now you mention it, i reckon it could be the game bar as i know it always pops up when i start it now!
