Sims 4 wont launch and is unplayable
After the latest update on the Sims 4 I haven't been able to launch the game at all. After launchin a pop-up window appears an tells me to re-install my game. I have done it twice now. I have also repaired the game, deleted every mod and cc, deleted all the files left after uninstalling, re-installed the app etc. What else can I do? I really dont want all the money I have spent on add ons to get wasted like this just bc ea´s updates constantly breaks the game in different ways but this is just too much... smh..
@iviaP Are you getting the "Game data missing or damaged" error, or the "There's a problem with your game's setup" error? For the first, please try the suggestions in the first post of this thread:
For the second, please try switching to DirectX 9 mode. Open your EA App game library, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx9 as a command line argument.
If this doesn't help, or if it does but you'd like to try to make DirectX 11 mode work, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
