Sims 4 won't launch

When I go to launch the Sims 4, it flashes black and white and then shows a minimized white blank screen with a loading curser. From there, I have to restart my computer to regain function of my curs...

Im having the same problem for now a couple of hours. I thought it was just a me thing after cc shopping so much today. Turns out im not the only one :cc
