Sims 4 wont let me go online

HELP! When I click go online on the min menu, it just says could not connect. It doesn't matter how many times are press try gain, it still wont work. Please respond thank you.

Well,  I go to the main menu and click the icon that says connect and it always says it doesn't allow it to be connected! Then I go to the sims 4 online gallery and my account is okay ( I do use my sims 3 orgin acount for the sims 4) When I'm in gameplay I want to go to the gallery but instead it says Library I don't why this is happening and the game I got is new! :(

    What does it say in the options menu ? Is online access ticked ?

    Are you saying you can go to the gallery from the main menu but not through the game ?

      I can't access it from the main menu as well as in game play.  What options menu do you mean?

        Click on the three dots in game in the upper right corner.
