Same problem! I even tried changing homes, sims and reverting to old saves. LAME!
@annadillion1998 and @smokefawn33 Do you get any error messages? It would be helpful to know the exact code(s) you see, not just the first three digits but the whole thing.
For troubleshooting, please move your Sims 4 game folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. Launch the game, which will create a clean folder with no content. Start a new save and see whether you can travel properly. If you can, the problem is one or more corrupt files in your old game folder; the most likely culprit is outdated mods or custom content. You can test it in batches in the new game folder; any batch that causes the problem again needs to be split and tested until you find the problem file(s).
When you've sorted through your remaining mods and cc, or start here if you don't use any, test your saves in the same manner. You can just delete whatever is in Saves and Tray inside the new game folder and copy over the contents of Saves and Tray from inside the old game folder.
If you can't even travel with a new save in a completely clean game folder, before you've moved any content into it, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
