Sims 4 won't load when trying to travel

Hi, yesterday I sent my sims on a date and it went to the loading screen. Usually when it loads it takes about 10-20 seconds but this time it's taking forever. I've let it sit for many 20 minute periods and it won't do anything but play the music and the loading screen. Nothing happens when I press the escape key. I was wondering if anyone has a solution on what to do now because I can't play with it stuck on the loading screen. Thanks!

    Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?

    Do you know which lot you were supposed to travel too ?

    I'm not using and custom content or mods in my game and I was trying to travel to the park in Willow Creek

    There's probably nothing you can do on that particular date so you need to quit the game through the task manager.

    Reload your game then and see if you can travel to the park then. If not, something about the lot is probably corrupt.

    Try if other lots work too.
