Sims 4 Won't Open
Origin won't help me so I guess I'll try here...
Ever since November 11th, I have been unable to open the game. I did EVERYTHING suggested online. I repaired the game multiple times, I uninstalled The Sims 4, deleted my cache, got rid of my save files and all of my CC. I removed EVERYTHING and started again. I tried running as Admin, still no dice. I tried Driver Easy and it wouldn't play nice with my PC. Now, nearly a month on, my game still won't load (Click from the shortcut, the game icon in my Sims 4 folder and from Origin and all it does is reopen Origin).
the only thing I am now missing is my EA folder and my game won't open. I've lost all my progress and I can't even start again. Can someone help me?
@Taaraa97 If you still have the Sims 4 user folder somewhere (the one that was originally in Documents\Electronic Arts), you'll be able to restore your old saves and other content, that is, once the game starts working again. But it's better to get the game working first and then worry about your saves.
You've tried most of the steps listed in the first post of this thread:
But please try the others, particularly disabling your antivirus completely. It's often not enough to only set exceptions for Origin and the game.
If the other steps don't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
