Sims 4 Won't Open

Hi guys, I recently downloaded some CC and everything was going fine until I added a few more files and now the game won't open at all. When I try to, it tells me that one of my files from my mods folder is corrupted. I went in and deleted that file but it still won't open. I even tried deleting and re-installing the game but no luck. If anyone could help me out I'd be incredibly grateful.

  • @spleenspoon  Please move your entire Mods folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 and onto your desktop.  Delete localthumbcache.package as well.  Launch the game and see whether you still get an error.  If you do, please move the entire Sims 4 folder to your desktop and test again; a clean folder will spawn the next time the game loads.  Let me know if you're still somehow getting the error.

If the error is gone, you can start adding your custom content back in and testing.  Start with any new items you still have, and if you see an error, remove those, or start the above process over if necessary.  It's possible that one or more files are corrupt, or just that you had a corrupt download, but either way, the files need to be deleted.
