Sims 4 won't read file path

Sims 4 won't read the correct file path.

When I updated my Sims 4 game it automatically created a new path for it in OneDrive. I do not use OneDrive, I have a Sims 4 path on my laptop itself (Exactly as follows: This PC > Windows-SSD ( C: ) > Users > ((my name)) > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4) so I just deleted the OneDrive folder. However now my game will not start, I instead receive this pop-up --> Unable to Start: Initialization error at start up. [135dec40:29f00e76:00000083:b032c32e]

I believe I used to have the Sims 4 path like this -- This PC > Windows-SSD ( C: ) > Users > Public > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 -- and I think I moved it from "Public" to "((my name))". This happened awhile ago, but it seems very relevant and important.

I would like to note: the Sims 4 path on my laptop is completely fine, it still has everything in it.

I would also like to note: In the past every time I updated the Sims 4 it created a OneDrive folder with a new path in it, I just deleted the OneDrive folder and my Sims 4 game went right back to reading the correct path. For some reason, it did not work this time. (Possibly because I moved the file path from "Public" to "((my name))"???)

Any advice? I would like to be able to keep my file path the way it is, however it just seems that the game can't read it like this for some reason?

(I've already tried the repair button, to no avail. Should I attempt to move the files back under "Public" and see if that fixes it? Or would that be a bad idea?)

If you do not wish the user files on OneDrive either disable it or exclude Documents from being synced.

Then rightclick the game in Origin and select Repair then start the game. The user files will now be created in your Documents folder.

I unlinked OneDrive from my PC, and repaired the game in Origin; however, I am still receiving the 'Initialization Error' popup?
