Sims 4 won't start because of 'missing or damaged files'

I just discovered the source of the error [85262c58:29f00e76:00000000:00000000]  it is due to cc download

Sue-XMS_Hair007_060113_Mesh.pa.  Just delete the file from the Mods folder and the Sims 4 will start correctly.

I've had a problem similar to this but I forget all the details. Turns out I accidentally put sims 3 cc in the sims 4.

Anyway, if you have custom content, try to take them all off the game folder. I did it, and works.
But ...
What's so funny when you don't have cc? (Especially if two years ago that you're trying to do a movie of TS3, and now TS4 ¬ ¬)
So I believe that you should move each content one by one, and go trying to open the game. Maybe that works. I am going do this, and I reeeeeeally hope that works.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
