Sims 4 wont start up with Mods

I've been playing sims 4 for a couple of weeks without any expansion packs, stuff packs, mods, or cc and it was fine cause it was just base game. Today i downloaded a few  (Woohooer, decensor, moveobjects, , and a few animations from the loverslab site that are more animations for ). i researched heavily before installing them and did exactly what it said, hit download, open the file, extract the folder (i think i use 7-zip), then go to the sims 4 mods folder and place the mods there. i even watched several videos of people installing the exact same mods and followed it step by step. once i was done, I went to open the game and it opened like normal and i went into the game options menu and enabled mods and cc, including script mods, then exited the game. i went to re open it, and the screen flashed for a moment and pulled up my origin game library. i though "hmm okay maybe it wants me to hit play here." nope. i tried to launch the game from origin a few times and every time i hit play it thinks a second, goes back to the desktop screen like the window is gonna change, then origin pops back up as if i never hit play. i have done this exact process several times, i restarted my computer, i logged out and back into origin, and nothing was working. finally i tried creating a new folder on desktop and moved everything i had just downloaded into the folder and tried relaunching the game, and it did it without missing a beat. odd. i exited and went back into the sims 4 mod file and put the mods back in the folder and the game wouldnt launch again. ive tried searching all the forums for an answer and cant find anyone whos having similar troubles, seems like everyone else was abled to play with mods and cc until they just couldnt anymore, which doesnt really help me much.
