@2yezk7avk6e8 Is Sims 4 currently crashing a lot? I do see two crashes, one of which looks like the same issue we've been discussing, but also a couple of BlueScreens and some generic Windows update errors. But the errors aren't timestamped, and the dxdiag only lists the most recent teh. So I can't tell how long an interval these errors represent or what other errors might have happened recently but were pushed off the list.
Additionally, are the BSODs happening while you're playing Sims 4 as well? If not, is there any pattern to their appearance, that is if you've noticed them happening at all? Sometimes they trigger during a shutdown and can get missed.
For the update errors, please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
okay after three people looking at my computer the possible solution has been found. it's possible my computer either got fried from a power outage even though i have a surge protector and messed up my motherboard, cpu, hard drive and power supply, or i have a faulty motherboard. my hard drive also failed a month or two ago and i had to get a new one. ill update when i get the new motherboard
