sims crashing while loading
For some reason, my sims 4 game has been crashing while on the loading screen. I've tried absolutely everything, clearing origin cache, repairing game, moving my game into a clean folder, deleting al...
@aceywacey24 Please do all of this, together:
- Move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, so the game can create a(nother) clean folder with no content.
- Clear Origin's cache (again), then repair the game (again): open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.
- Restart your computer before playing, and don't open anything other than Origin and Sims 4.
- Put Origin in offline mode before launching the game.
If these steps don't help, please try playing in a new admin Windows account. Make it a local account, as in, don't sign into Microsoft, and don't sync with any other services you normally use. The username should contain only letters and numbers, no special characters. You'll be able to sign into Origin and shouldn't need to redownload anything, but your saves and other content won't be available. That can be addressed later, for now, just let us know whether the game works.
