Sims' Hunger/Bladder Bar Gets Stuck on Red

Every time one of my Sims' fulfillment bars (not sure what they're really called) gets down into the red, it kind of gets stuck there. I can fill it back up but it stays red and the negative emotion stays with my Sim even though they're no longer "really hungry" or "really has to pee" and I'm not sure what's going on. This has never happened before.

Also, after my Sim went into labor and had the baby her emotions thingy still said that she was in labor, even though she wasn't. Sometimes the Sims will glitch when they're sleeping and pop right out of bed even if they haven't fully slept and the bed will still look like there's people in it. If I close the game and re-open it the problem goes away, but I'd like to not have to do that every time something like this happens.

Yes, I do have CC but this problem just started yesterday out of nowhere. Thank you for your help.

  • Can you remove all your mods (custom content such as hair and objects should not cause this) and see if it still occurs ?

I have removed all CC and still had this problem in base-game. It is infuriating that, even after spamming the shower, that Sims will refuse to do anything because they have reached such a negative mood. For me, hygiene is affected with this. After working out, My Sim's hygiene bar went into the red, so I had her take lots of showers. But it didn't work. Right now she has maxed the hygiene bar and the bar is still red-coloured, she is covered in dirt and is complaining about it, and has the "Filthy" moodlet.

  • This is now happening to multiple Sims. The most recent Sim it happened to bladder failed. Her Hygiene is now maxed but she is still miserable. This is affecting gameplay. I hope someone can find a fix soon.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming your folder, repair the game through Origin

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

Just something to try if this ever happens to someone again. I had a sims that was showing hungry all the time and I removed him from the household and into another house. I saved the game then added him back and so far it has not happened again. I just thought I would pass this information on for future reference.
