Object selection keeps freezing and skipping

Question

Apparently this was an issue a few years back, but I decided it had been long enough to open a new discussion.

Normally I don't let glitches in the game bother me too much, but when it keeps me from playing I like to report it.

My selection tool will stop working and then suddenly start up again resulting in random objects being picked up, dropped, or refusing to do one or the other. This has been happening a lot since I installed my last expansion pack (Business and Hobbies) and the game was updated. According to my computer specs my laptop should be handling the added gameplay and memory just fine. If this has been an issue for anyone else and you have a solution please help a fellow simmer out. Thanks.

System: DESKTOP -SARFF99; Surface Book 3

Storage space: 190 GB of 475 free

Windows 11

GraydaLenn​&nbsp; This thread is for a different issue on some Surface models, but maybe changing the settings mentioned in this post from bibliomak would help you too:

If not, please let me know whether this happens in a new save, or just your existing ones; and whether it happens in both fullscreen and windowed modes.
