Sims4 (GTW) Detective problems

I'll try to make this short.

Sim is just one tick away from advancement from Lt. to Captain.  Put out an APB for an Elderly female with gray hair, short sleeve shirt and a skirt that hates children.

Here is where the problem starts.  The only one close to this description has only one difference, does not hate children.  So I spent my whole day with overtime waiting for a perfect match.  Okay so on to the next day.  Found a perfect match, went to arrest and was Flam-basted for making a false arrest!  WHAT!!!!!!!  Well there went 3 days of job performance.  So the next day (day3)  Found a close match with the only difference being this sim had a long sleeve hoodie style top.  Went to arrest and it let me??????

So off to the interrogation.....Sim gave me the runaround, went into overtime and my day ended with no confession.  Next day my work schedule said to interrogate the sim and guess what?   Poof...Sim IS GONE!!!!  Nowhere to be found!  Now this unfinished interrogation routine happened once before but the Sim was there to interrogate.  Not this time.

So I tried to put out another APB but it sent me out on Patrol but immediately sent me back to the station.  Still no Sim to interrogate but the work task was still there.  Muddled through the rest of the day until quitting time.  Next day the same thing, no Sim to interrogate.  I'm really ticked off right about now.  So much so I went to the Origin site and hit the Repair Game Option.  Talk about making things worse.  Not only is the interrogation task still there but the whole Precinct changed hands!  Nobody I knew still worked there.  I figure the repair did this so I progressed.  Guess what?  The interrogate task is still there and NO SIM to interrogate.  ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am now really rampant!  I do the piddley things to get the Captains Promotion, get to work the next day, and you guessed it!!  The interrogate task is still there!

I am so FRUSTRATED with Origin right now with all the bugs such as Sims disappearing, Time Freezes, Inventory foul ups and what not, I have deleted the game.

Yeah, you guessed it,  I will give it a few days off and see if there is an update before I try to play again.  I'm not sure if this is a bug or what but it destroyed my gameplay.
