Sims4 will not download from Origin

Because we had a bad storm come through last night I stopped the download thinking that was the problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled Origin and started downloading the game. I started downloading the game at 8AM and it is now 12:30PM and it is only at 4%! I do not have all day to let the computer sit and download a game this is getting CRAZY!! I have never had a problem downloading from Origin before.

ok with me it just wont download... I start origin... I press download sims4... it prepares for a minute but then sayd origin could not download your game... check interwebs or try again later... need help guys...

What is your internet speed? You can find out by going to www.speedtest.com. You may want to let your ISP know the speed so they can determine if there is a problem with your connection or not. Also, using your internet for streaming videos or downloading large files can slow things down. Basically, try to make sure your download of Sims 4 is the only thing happening. If you're on wireless, plugging directly in to the router / modem will speed things up too.
