Sliders Snapping to Min/Max

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.63.134.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and dogs, City Living, University, Get Famous, Get to Work, Get Together, Island Living, Seasons, Dine Out, Spa Day, Outdoors, Parenthood, Backyard Stuff, Cool Kitchen, Fitness, Kids Room, Laundry Day , Movie Hangout, Perfect Patio, Tiny Living, Toddler
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a new save and go into CAS
What happens when the bug occurs? Please bear with me, I couldn't really think of the best way to describe this problem. When I try to manipulate my sim's appearance with the sliders in CAS, it doesn't reflect what I'm ACTUALLY doing with my mouse. For instance, if I drag to make the nose larger, the nose will get a little larger and then seem to "snap" to the largest option all of a sudden, going from medium size to the largest possible. Even if I drag my mouse back to smaller, the slider suddenly goes to the largest it can be, I can't stop between the two. It makes the controls feel kind of loose, in that I don't have much control over the sliders any more and they will just go up and down really quickly.
What do you expect to see? The way it used to behave was that I could drag the slider slowly and be very precise with where the sliders stop.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed the latest patch, the eco living main patch and the subsequent one the next day.

This problem is kind of hard to explain, and it's not reflected very well with a video. It's more obvious if you can see how I am moving the mouse compared to what's actually happening on the screen.

I have also tried different mice. This problem ONLY occurs in the sims. I don't have mouse "zooming" problems in any other program.

EDIT: I think I may have fixed this, from solution in this post https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/Issue-with-mouse-and-slider-in-CAS/td-p/8172663 to disable origin overlay. Leaving post up for now in case it doesn't continue to work.

  • @notabatman  Hopefully disabling the Origin in-game overlay fixes your issue, but if not, please disable any other overlays you have running: Steam, Discord, etc.  If that doesn't help either, please do post back.
