Problems with starting The Sims 4
Hi everyone, I tried to start the game but it always displays a window (I'll attach a photo to this post) and The Sims 4 doesn't start. I tried to restart the game or repair it, but nothing has changed. I would like to avoid uninstalling the game to not lose the downloaded expansions, is there another way?56Views0likes3CommentsCan't create folder
Since the most recent update I have been unable to play the game. I get an error that the folder cannot be found. So after 2 days of trying to repair the game, which failed, I uninstalled the whole thing, and tried to reinstall. I get the same message... I am on a windows laptop. I do not use any CC or mods. Its going to take forever to download 63.44 GB of data, but that's ok. As long as it will actually download and install. What do I need to do? Please help! CynthiaPermissions error
I was playing The Sims 4 normally this morning, now it is saying it needs to be "repaired" and every time it downloads and prepares to "Repair" it says Permissions Error and I'm not able to do anything else. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the game and the same problem occurs. Am I missing something? Thanks in advanceInfinite saving/loading screens
I originally started having this issue after the September update and saw other people were having the same issue and followed all the advice given. updated all mods removed all CC started a new save (with no CC) removed off-the-grid lot types switched back to DX9 Unfortunately, none of these worked so I decided to wait until the next patch and try again. After the October patch, I updated everything and it's still happening. Whether I'm loading/travelling with a family, exiting CAS, or saving when building on a community lot. I'm completely out of ideas of what I can do at this point; I have plenty of space on my PC and while loading can be slow sometimes, I know that's because I have quite a few packs and CC and I've never minded. But the infinite screens are getting too much, I can't play the game at all without running in to one and I end up losing any progress I've made. Really hoping someone can help or this bug can be lessened at least in the next update. 🤞100Views2likes2CommentsEasy way to fill in the blanks of my packs?
Hello All, I am recently decided to install the game on my new PC and start playing again. I have also gotten an upscale of my income and I wanted to get up to date with all the packs, kits etc. My question is, is there an easy way/screen to go to where I can see which packs I already own and then simply bundle/purchase the packs i do not own...to fill in the gaps? I noticed this when I tried to make a simulated purchase of a pack I know I already own (Get To Work pack) and it was willing to take me all the way to the purchase button without any attempt to alert me "You already own this pack". It would be especially helpful if the EA store would simply stamp a pack as "Owned" to make it easier. I was surprised at how difficult the purchasing process is. Am I missing something? Do I really need to create an Excel spreadsheet and figure this out on my own? Take my money! So Ea app told me to repair it and it wouldn't bc of permission error. I uninstalled and installed the app again and when trying to download the sims again the same error would apear. I created a new ea games folder... still the same error. I tried looking up the permissions on the ea folder and could change nothing. I changed the permissions on the ea app to administrator and still nothing Attached are pics of the error and the folder and app permissionsReceiving "there is a problem with your game's setup" error after latest update
Hello! This is the first time I have received this error and I don't know what to do! I already contacted EA for help, and they redirected me to post about it on the forums. What happens is when I try to launch Sims 4 to play, I receive an error stating "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall the game." (attachment provided) I removed all cc/mods and additional files (like saves and tray) to a different location. I used Revo Uninstaller to uninstall both Sims 4 and the EA App thoroughly and did the scan after. I reinstalled both the EA App and Sims 4, which took all night, and error still remains. I tried doing a repair on the Sims 4 game, error still remains. At this point, I have no files from the game so this is completely mod and cc free. Before the update, I had no issues. I have had played Sims 4 ever since the first game released and this is the first time I have seen this error. I have no idea what else I can do! Is the game just unplayable for me now? I will note I am running an older version of Windows (Windows 7 to be exact). I did another suggestion that said to run dxdiag to receive error info (also attached). So I have already done this step. So I have tried since yesterday trying to fix it but the same error comes up . but there is nothing to do to fix it I cant even go back to try again it just keeps failingNot enough disk space
I just got this HP 14 laptop, and I went online to see how to download Sims 4. This is my first time trying to play Sims and I was excited and thought I did everything right. I did all the instructions and then when it came to actually launching the game it said 22.23 disk space required and that I only have 20.26. I have been uninstalling unwanted apps, but this laptop has a lot of preinstalled applications that take up a lot of space. So, I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and knows how to solve this issue?
