Stuck at Create a Sim
I recently reinstalled the sims onto my computer. I had it installed previously about a year ago but had to remove it because of storage space. I have never used any custom content, have tried reinst...
Thank you for any help you can offer, I attached the dxdig as a file to this post. And I do not use onedrive.
@HaileyHH2 Your hard drive is somewhat low on space, at 13 GB free. That shouldn't be preventing you from playing Sims 4, but it's something to keep an eye on going forward. Having 20 GB free is a good goal.
Please try playing while your laptop is offline. You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi before pressing Play. Let me know whether you can exit CAS; you don't need to spend much time on the new sim(s), since this is just for testing.
Please also let me know what antivirus you use.
@HaileyHH2 I don't recommend third-party antivirus programs in general, although some people do need them based on their browsing habits. But in this particular case, I was just asking if you had one because a few of them can block Sims 4's access to the Documents directory, which would explain the issue you're having. So please don't add an antivirus while your game isn't working—it would only complicate things further.
For now, please move your entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts; the game will create a new one the next time it loads. Don't add anything to it yet, just see whether you can get out of CAS and into live mode.
If you can't, please create a new admin user account on your computer. Make it a local account, as in, don't sign into Microsoft, and don't sync with any other services. You'll be able to sign into Origin and shouldn't have to download anything, but your saves and other content won't be available. Here again, let me know whether you can get into live mode.
What folder would I move it into? I moved it into the downloads folder but the game wouldn't even open. And I tried to make a new admin user for my computer but that failed as well.
