Stuck on a Endless Loading Screen in The Sims 4
Please Help!!!!
I updated my game to the latest update 2 days ago, with all new Main menu and all. I did it vanilla, (without any mods or cc).
Checked it how it looks, was about to start a new let's play.
I went to add couple off my favorite mods, MCCC and UI cheat.
Tried launching the game again and got stuck on an infinite loading screen.
I removed my mods, tray and saves files off from the game folder into a safe on my desktop
and
Since then, I have;
- Repaired the game
- Cleared all the cache files from the Sims 4 folder and the EA App
- Started fresh games (or tried)
I have removed the The Sims 4 folder and deleted the whole Electronic Arts folder
- Uninstalled and reinstalled The Sims 4
- Uninstalled and Reinstalled the EA App
- I have reset my graphics preference
- I have no Razer apps to delete
(all of the above I have found from here)
But nothing is helping!
I have my PC up to date all programs and updates.
I CAN NOT OPEN MY GAME.
Frustrated and annoyed.
What do I do?
Thank you for any help......
@Trigxy Thanks for the dxdiag and for listing everything you've tried already. I'd suggest updating your graphics driver, which is not so old (August) as to be an obvious issue, but the Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag could be driver-related. Go here:
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/
Select GeForce, GTX 16 series, 1660 ti, Windows 11, and download the Game Ready Driver. Run it as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install. Restart afterwards and before trying to play.
If that doesn't help, try playing with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
If that doesn't help either, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to launch Sims 4, specifically while offline. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
