Text has disappeared?!

Hey there,

So I've had Sims 4 since it came out, love it, last time I played I bought the camping expansion pack and since then the text for anything new just will not show up, I get some symbols and numbers on the gender options in create a sim, the new traits are blank, lots of text boxes are coming up as blank, new areas don't have names, I thought a few updates would fix it and I've not been playing for a while, now there's a Halloween event i'm guessing, I dunno cuz I can't see any of the text haha! I can post some screenshots if it helps but would be fab to hear back from someone!
