The DirectX11 commands doesn't make the option to appear in The Sims 4 game

Hi. I tried to follow the tutorial to opt in to turn on the DirectX11 on my Sims 4 game. My game is patched with the latest update, is original and everything works great so far. But I need help understanding how can I have the option in game (see the photos I am attaching here) so you guys can get more information. Once I open the game the option doesn't come up. What am I doing wrong? I wrote this on my phone *just in case you ask me if I am the computer* I am not rn, to give you more details. 😅

Thanks in advance for your help!

To be clear, there are no new graphical settings in the game due to this change.

The game is simply rendered in DirectX 11 instead of DirectX 9, the only change you see in the beginning is the new DirecX version displayed in the bottom right corner of your screen:

The real changes are all "under the hood", meaning that the more modern API DirecX 11 (Application Programming Interface) offers advantages over DirecX 9 that are executed automatically.

(hardware-based tessellation, multithreading support, DirectCompute, new shader models to name a few.)

  • @Simtasticgallery  There aren't any DirectX 11 commands within Sims 4.  Instead, you should see whether you're running DX9 or 11 in the lower-right corner of the screen, after the game version number.  Are you still seeing DX9 there, and if so, how are you launching the game—through the EA App or the shortcut—and does it make a difference if you try the other?

Please also post your full dxdiag, saved as a text file (click "Save all information"), rather than only the one screenshot.  Other than the machine name and ID at the top, which you can remove, the file doesn't contain any personal or potentially dangerous information.

As a matter of fact the graphic APU of your Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU is faster and has more modern graphic features than this NVIDIA GT 710.

I would suggest to enable the graphic APU in the BIOS and re-plug the Monitor into the Motherboard graphics port and test again.

You might want to remove the GT 710 and the driver of this GPU beforehand.
To do that follow this manual to the letter to cleanly uninstall all NVIDIA components.

So, once my Dad do this..

I will be able to see the option in game?

I don't understand. So, please explain this in simpler words (cause I am not an English speaker) and don't know much about tech either 😅 @holger1405

Ohh okay, I thought we could toggle in / off this feature once we typed in the commands (on the EA App and the shortcut) to be able to see them function properly.

But yeah, I will take a look at what you said once I open my game in the next few hours.

Thank you so much, once again!
