The Return of Jump Bug? Maybe... HELP!

Ok, bare with me as I run through the issues we're experiencing. We have 2 copies of the Sims 4 in my house, but both games use the exact same mods when in play, we make sure of that, but one is constantly buggy and the other is fine. Though one base game is the collector's edition and the other is the digital download.

The buggy one

-Experiences constant crashing when saving

-Some form of Jump bug brought on by communication with another sim

-When the jump bug begins a save error starts bringing up the code 529:1027368147555034464:664173144575019590

We've reinstalled the game, we've removed excess save files, we've removed auto-save files, we've removed the mods, we've opened the game on the other computer, we've opened older, non-buggy save files, and that appears to work but it still returns.

We can't find an explanation as to why one game is fine and the other is not. If anyone has any further ideas we would really appreciate it, because the only option we currently see is to abandon the game.

Thanks,

Anja

  • Hi,

This is something we've already tried, multiple times, but we will go do it again, since we've dealt with some mod conflicts, etc.... We even reinstalled the game completely and the computer.

We've even taken only the save files and implemented them into our other sims game with the problem continuing (with and without mods) as well as putting the save files from the non-problematic game into the other other computer without the issues developing.

    I hope this makes sense...

I don't really have any other suggestions unfortunately.
