The Sims 4 crashes when placing lot from the gallery

It first happened yesterday. I figured since my wifi connexion is terrible, it was the reason why. However, I keep getting lastUIexception files even when I try the game without mods. I even removed my Tray files. I tried deleting the cache files and it worked for a bit but the issue came back quickly. It mostly happens when I'm placing a retail lot, but it also happened while placing a residential lot. I've also tested the bug with a new save file and the game still crashes.

I used to play on my MacBook Pro, however I just got a new Windows 10 desktop especially so I can play the Sims without issues (the irony). It really shouldn't lag, but it does especially when I'm on the gallery, this is what I got: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6X 4,2 GHz, 16Go DDR4 RAM 3000 MHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. My brother said it was overkill to play The Sims 4, I know nothing about computers so overkill was perfect for me, especially since I play with about 50 Go of mods.

Here's the lastcrash file and the lastuiexception file, I'd appreciate any help about this!

(I tried loading the files here but it says: The attachment's lastuiexception.txt content type (text/plain) does not match its file extension and has been removed.- so...)

  • @Carlie_M_Cullen  There might be a couple different issues here.  One is that the game crashes when trying to place a lot that includes mannequins; this is a known bug:

If you're seeing crashes with lots that don't contain mannequins, as a residential lot probably wouldn't, please test in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to this folder yet; just start a new save and try placing a lot that doesn't include any mannequins—a Maxis residential lot should be fine.
