The Sims 4 Custom Music Not Working

I have recently started playing the game again and to my dismay my custom music is very spotty at best, some music won't play at all while others have no problem playing. I have tried looking and seeing if the file typ or bit rate was different and everything is about the same, all under 320 kbps and all mp3. Now my music worked just fine previously, but when I got on after a few months (of course there's been some up dates between then and now) only some will work. I even tried to go through and see which ones would work in the menu and some played the first time but refused to play after that. I've restarted the game, deleted and replaced the files and re-restarted the game. I would really like to listen to all of my music in game instead of the sim version that I can't singalong with.

My game is up to date. (Won't let me play otherwise because it automatically updates lol)

Audio files with missing ID3 tags or incomplete/missing headers cannot be read by the game and a patch was published recently which eliminates the random failures by excluding those files entirely. To solve the problem you can edit the ID3 tags with any media player such as winamp or tag editor which is capable of updating metadata.

If you need a free editor, try the open-source AHD ID3 Tag Editor
