The Sims 4 freezes every time I go into game or build mode

The Sims was working when I played in the summer. Then when I tried to play a month ago, it wouldn't work and still won't work every time I try to play. I can load the game, be in manage worlds, and create sims. But every time I go into game or build mode the transition/loading screen is frozen and I can't play. I have updated and repaired the game but it's still freezing/lagging and I don't know how to fix it. I would appreciate it if anyone could help!

Also I tried to post screenshots but they wouldn’t work :(

    I moved the Sims 4 folder to Desktop and the game played with no content. I was able to go into game mode and build mode but it was very laggy and eventually if froze after I started building a house. I did the dxdiag and attached the file hopefully it works. It says my computer uses Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, and the for the best experience I should get the latest drivers from Windows Update or from my hardware manufacturer's website.

    bibliophile11​  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

    If the game freezes again, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
