the sims 4 not loading properly

since yesterday when i updated by sims 4 game, I've been having issues with the game either refusing to open, saying it was a technical error on EA's side, or opening, playing the intro and loading screen before moving to what i presume is meant to be the homepage of the sims, except it's completely black with only my cursor showing. all of my current mods/corrupt cc have been either removed or updated to their latest, functioning version, and i have no overrides for the homepage downloaded anywhere in my mods folder. I've cleared out thumbcache, repaired the game, and on multiple occasions reloaded the EA app. what could be the issue causing this?

Hi I had the issue of the screen turning black. For me - I upated MC Command Centre and Weerbesu's UI Cheat. For me it was Weerbesu's mod that was causing the black screen. If you have any UI mods - make sure they have the latest hot fix patch - as they - as far as I can tell are causing the black screen.
There is another page - in case you wanted to have a look re: the black screen - where a pinned solution is offered at the top of the screen in the green box. Please paste the link below in google and it will take you to the EA Forum where they are talking about the black screen there too.
