The Sims 4: Saved Progress gone!
Hi! A couple months ago, The Sims 4 had updated. After the update, I downloaded and added a custom content into the mods folder. I then loaded up the game, and my saved game was gone! I can't continue from where I last left off. I have been trying to fix this, but nothing has worked so far. I don't personally think it is the mod, I have added many, many custom content but this issue has never happened before until now.
So far, I have talked to 4 EA Advisers. Nothing has worked.
I have tried :
1.) Clearing my cache
2.) Renaming the save files, after loading up the game, the "Load Game" option was never available.
3.) Repairing the game
4.) Uninstalling the game and reinstalling.
5.) Turning on cloud save
Plus, my mods will not show up anymore. I have enabled the mods and custom content, but they still don't show.
Fixed it! All I did was delete "The Sims 4" folder which is located in the "Electronic Arts" folder. But before I deleted it. I took out the "saves" and the "Mods" folder.
I then started up the game which forced the game to create A NEW "The Sims 4" FOLDER.
Next, I exited out of the game and went to look at the new folder. I then replaced the saves and mods folder with the older ones.
Loaded up the game again, and everything was back to the way it was.
Simple.
