unable to start: Initialization error at start: 135dec40:29f00e76:00000084:18a1dd51
to go away, I redownloaded everything about 5 times, I have turned off threat protection, and I've controlled folder access. I've tried downloading on ea and Steam. and every time, the error shows up. and I also can't find the ea support email to see if they can help me. I'm desperate. IDC if my past houses and people are saved, I just wanna play the sims... both ea, and the sims r on the same drive, and my PC allows me to play other games with no problem. I've updated my Windows, and my Steam. I'm losing it

  • @paigeexe  If you currently have a Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, please move it to the desktop.  This will prevent your saves and other user data from loading, but the files will still be intact and can be restored later.  For now, just see whether the game loads.

If it doesn't, please try pausing OneDrive syncing.  You can see the option by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.

If that doesn't help either, please create a new admin Windows account and try playing there.  Make it local, as in, don't link it with your Microsoft account.  You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything.
