There is no product code in my DVD box

That is a logical answer. Because it could just be you do have the code and you plan on selling it.

I would take it back to the store you bought it, ask them about it. Maybe they can help you get a game with a code in it (open the game in store before checking out).

I understand your frustration, it's honestly not a great experience to find out the game you've just bought is actually lacking a crucial part.

However in this case, the advisor you were in touch and @Phantomlover1717 are right: there's nothing he can do himself. However, you should be able to get a refund from Target considering the game box was defective, or at least obtain an exchange. Please understand that there are processes in place through which the store can return defective products and get reimbursed, however we (and this includes our advisors) have to follow those to make sure everything is accounted for.

Let us know if you encounter any issues getting an exchange from your retailer.
