To adopt released pets are buggy

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Deutsch
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? actual
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? all
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Household 1,release a pet for adoption. Change to household 2 and adopt this pet. Adopt service will come and do nothing.
What happens when the bug occurs? The released pet didn´t show up under my households, other households or hidden ones, shouldn´t it be under hidden? With SimsInfo you can find it and it´s marked with "This Sims is broken without trait and cause problems…" The Adoption Service comes, knocks at the door, but didn´t release the pet on the floor. You can talk to him, also you can end the adoption per pie menu, but nothing happens. He didn´t leave and you can not save, change household because of the running adoption.
What do you expect to see? That it works like intended, adoption service come, release the pet and my Sims can adopt ist.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Release for adoption didn´t work correctly. I was wondering that the released pets didn´t show up anywhere like before.

Before I had the problem that the pets show up under my households without a name, I think this was a bug too.

Now they didn´t show up anywhere, except the adoption window. But adoption didn´t work for released pets, see above.

With the game made pets you can find in the adoption window everything works fine.

    Thx, I think my problem is different than the one in this post. Adopt a pet does work in my game, my bug occurs with pets released for adoption. The bug in this thread, that the adoption service doesn´t do his job, was a result of my bug for me. 

    Ok I´m confused, after a discussion in the official forum I not sure about the adoption thing.

    When my Sims releases a pet for adoption should it

    1. vanish from the game (deleted) 

    or

    2. should it be available for other Sims in the adoption window / process?

    There's another thread somewhere about re-adoption pets but that used to work. It wasn't actually the same pet though, the game kinda created a pet with the same name but it had a different ID and different traits.

    I'm going to test this again and see what happens now.

    Thx crin, I´ve read that post in the official forum too. As I understand now, in Sims 4, Sims released for adoption should been culled from the game and it´s not intended that they show up in the adoption window. There could be problems if a mod like mcc stops culling, but in my game it happens too without any mod.

    The two pets couldn´t be found anywhere, only with SimsInfo as corrupted and in the adoption window.

    More tests, always after releasing the pet for adoption:

    With mods (mcc, Sims 4 culling is ON) SimsInfo shows same ID, corrupted, causes problems with adoption service in another household

    Without mods (mcc) SimsInfo shows me no window, on another household, pet is in adoption window, causes problems but there SimsInfo show me a different ID, not corrupted

    changeing back to the household which releases the pet, SimsInfo show me a third ID, no corruption and adoption works again.

    Not sure if LittleMsSam mod Anti Fear Training could cause this problem, this is the only one I use related to pets!

    It´s really wired!

    Hi @JochenWeiss

    for me it still works the same way it did from start. A pet with the same name appears in the adoption panel and I can adopt it but it's not the same animal that I gave up for adoption


    Could you try on a fresh, mod free game ?

    Sry, need to change again. Before I´ve tested it in the same household. Release the pet for adoption and after a few sim hours adopt it again and this way it worked, in another household it doesn´t, even without mods and cleared cache.

    Did the following, release a pet for adoption, go to manage worlds, change to another household and adopt this pet, the adoption service stays around, knocks at the door and my Sims can talk to him, but he didn´t release the pet from the basket he normal does.

    Really sry for the confusion ;(

    I tested a different household and it worked for me.

    Can you give more details about the family that adopted ? Small house ? Apartment ? Can they adopt a not release pet ?
