total freeze, can't use keyboard at all

It was countdown to New Years in the household, 2 guests came, and it suddenly just froze. I can't even Shift+Ctrl Task Manager to close the game, forcing me to restart my laptop :\ 

I do have mods and I'm testing it again without them but they are all updated, as far as I know. I have everything except Lovestruck and Poolside Splash.
