Tranferring saved Sims4 game files into "Electronic Arts" folder??

Before I reset my laptop I went through it and transferred all my important files on a flash drive, including the "Electronic Arts" file that contains my Sims4 info and such. Well once I downloaded the Sims4 back on my laptop from Origin and tried to play it I realized that my saved games were gone. I do NOT want to start over.

I saved my Sims4 files on a flash drive before wiping my laptop clean though.

This may sound like a stupid question but is there a way I could transfer my saved files into the new "Electronic Arts" file?

I had a friend that saved her Sims4 files on a flash drive and then transferred them back into the EA folder after she had reset her laptop but she screwed up somehow. Her game completely glitches out when she tries to play it.

I am positive this is a way people get their saved games back but I just want to know exactly how to do it. I really don't want to mess anything up somehow.
