Transfer from one PC to Another

I got a new  PC and have a save on my other hard drive which is hooked up to my new comp. I was wondering what do I bring over to save my town and sim and all? I tried coping the whole file where it says The sims 4 but it wouldnt let me delete the new one on my new comp and when I went to paste it just sat there and done nothing.

  • @xaviersxmen  Is Sims 4 still installed on your old computer?  If so, use the in-game method described in this article to find your user folder:

That's where your saves are.  You can do the same on your new computer if the game launches.  Make sure you're opening the correct version of Documents: you'll likely have one tied to OneDrive and one with the file path C > Users > your username > Documents.

  • If you go into Documents on your old computer, open the Electronic Arts folder and then the Sims 4 folder, all you need to move is "saves" - put that folder in the same place on the new computer (Documents->Electronic Arts->The Sims 4).

Make sure you're in documents, not programs.

  • I have the hard drive hooked up to my new computer. Its not under EA on that hard drive its Origin. But its EA on my new computer..Weird.  I dont see saves or documents on there like I would if it was hooked up to its own computer. Just a list of folders under localdiskC:. I dont see my documents from that drive.

  • Well I found my documents but there was only three files in there and none the sims. Why couldnt they just keep their saves in their own folder?
