tried to plan outfit,stuck on loading screen 2+ hours, wouldnt let comp. restart

i was playing and i went to plan the outfit for my sims new son, and it was on the loading screen for over 2 hours. i couldnt close the game down and it wouldnt let me restart my computer so i had to...

i dont have custom content, im not sure how all of this works though, would resetting my game data erase all of my households and progress?

No, you will not lose your household or progress if you return all of your save files to "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Saves" be sure to delete the file Slot_00000001.save before launching your game. Please also post your DXDIAG as requested so that your hardware capacity and compatibility can be verified. Just attach the diagnostic report to your next reply.
