Unable to connect to EA servers for Sims 4 Deluxe

Hello all!

I recently downloaded the Sims 4 Deluxe through Origin and it installed perfectly fine, up until I clicked "play" and it told me that I am unable to connect to the EA servers to activate the game due to an unknown error. I've already combed through the forums and tried all the available solutions but none of them have been helpful and I am still facing the same problem. It would be nice if EA can provide a solution ASAP! Thank you all for your help :D

PS I already:

1) disabled the firewall

2) I don't run any anti virus softwares so this should not be an issue

3) allowed www.origin.com on my IE browser "trusted sites"

These being the available solutions in the other forum questions that experienced the same problem.

I also got the same prtoblem same as you. Just bought the game today. Download and Install work smoothy until I click played button. There is a window pop up and said unable to connect to the EA servers to activate the game due to an unknown error. I have searched every solution to this problem through the entire internet but there is nothing work for me

    Such as

    • Open Internet Explorer (even if you have another default web browser installed!) and go to www.Origin.com but do not login. Click the little gear wheel in the top right corner of the browser.
    • Click Internet Options
    • Click Security Tab
    • Click Trusted Sites
    • Click Sites in the little box
    • A window should pop up & you need to have the origin web address (www.origin.com) in the 'add this website to the zone' box.
    • Click Add
    • Click Close
    Windows 7
    1. Hold down the Windows key and press R. (This will open the Run dialogue.)
    2. Type cmd and press Enter. (This will open a command prompt.)
    3. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
    4. Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
    5. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
    6. Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
    7. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
    8. Reboot the computer."""

None of these thing can help me. EA please Help.

I also had the Sims 4 installed, then when i had to uninstall it(I acidentally made all of the characters in my town age up, making them all elders) It said the same thing. Installation went fine, but the updates must have screwed it up. It's going around the message boards that this isn't only a SIms 4 problem.
