Unable to create a pet in Sims 4 Cats and Dogs

HELP! I am unable to create a pet in The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs! I am still able to play the game properly and create my human sims normally as before.


However, when I try to create a pet the screen goes white for a second and then goes back to the normal screen. It does this a couple of times and then crashes right after and the screen turns completely white.

An error message pops up at the bottom of my screen: "Application TS4_x64.exe has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware"

[Not sure what it means, so if you know what it means please let me know!]

I have already checked to see if my laptop (ASUS E403S) meets the requirements, my graphic settings in the game is on Low, I have no mods/CC, and I have already repaired The Sims 4 through Origin.

I've never had this problem before. I've tried to look at other forums but couldn't find any that could relate to my problem. PLEASE HELP!

    Yeah, as I thought, your processor is below minimum requirements.

    Lots of people have this issue with the same processor

    All you can do is either consider a better computer or contact customer support to see if you can get a refund for the EP

    Game advisors can be found through live chat or call-back

    Yeah, as I thought, your processor is below minimum requirements.

    Lots of people have this issue with the same processor

    All you can do is either consider a better computer or contact customer support to see if you can get a refund for the EP

    @kabaoforever  Your going to need more then the 128Gb ssd to run that computer. The Windows operating system bloats - it is just what it does. 44.9Gb is not enough for the Windows operating system. The video system is borrowing 1999Mb of system memory which leaves 2Gb of memory for the game and the operating system. A weak processor, a weak video processor (known to have issues with sims titles) with little to no driver updates, and low system free storage is going to have issues.

    Unfortunately over the past few weeks many cats and dogs players have been experiencing this problem. And i am one of them. Its really annoying as i just got the ep for my bday. And i cant even create my dog! The whole thing annoys me as the cursors still there and so is the background music but the screens completely white..hopefully EA will fix this issue in the next patch (what ive heard on other forums) so that we dont have to go buy another computer/laptop just to have dogs...

    Hi @GrimSleeper77_

    EA won't fix any issues that relate to computer that don't fulfill the requirements of the game. There's a reason for those and they are already pretty low for a game like the Sims.

    If you have the same processor as everyone else, I would recommend getting a refund for the EP.
