Unable to download

Hi All! 

I've recently bought a new laptop and would like to try the Sims 4 for the first time. The laptop is the Asus Vivobook 15, I know I can't go "wild" with the downloads but it should support the base game easily for simple play.

The problem is that I am not able to download at all, when I press the download button from the app, it tells me "There's a problem with your download". It's been like this for the last week, regardless of deleting the app and download it again. I would like to know if there's any other reason on why this is happening and/or how could I solve it.
