Unable to order food other than popcorn on Batuu

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansions except Eco Lifestyle, all game packs except Realm of Magic & Spa Day, and all stuff packs except My First Pet, Fitness, Backyard, Romantic Garden, Spooky and Luxury Party.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Travel to the Black Spire Outpost in Batuu with any sim, and attempt to order food from Ronto Roasters, Docking Bay 7, or from a bar in Oga's Cantina. It must not be a "quick" meal like popcorn or water.
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim, upon exiting the restaurant, will pick up the food dish and then promptly reset, the food disappears and all queued actions are cleared.
What do you expect to see? I expect for the sim to pick up their dish and eat it, not for the dish to completely vanish.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

When my sims go to the restaurants in Batuu and order the popcorn dish, they have no issues, it only seems to be with the full meals. It makes eating the dishes in Batuu impossible, making gameplay very difficult.

personally not having any issues with those so could you make sure, none of your mods are still active by trying a factory reset:

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

It does appear to be working as expected now, but I'm not sure what fixed it. As part of troubleshooting, I moved out my mods folder and reloaded to confirm the issue persisted without mods. I went through all my mods to confirm none was conflicting, one by one, which didn't make any difference, and honestly I got frustrated and left the game for awhile. I booted in again a couple days ago and voila, it seems resolve. I have no idea.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Every time you go to Batuu and try to order food or a beverage that is not the popcorn, from either a food stand, the cantina or either food station. Trying to do this after creating a new game and immediately rushing to Batuu and ordering food does not have the bug occur right away, but if you did anything prior to that it will 100%.
What happens when the bug occurs? Your sims will go and order the food, but once they go and pick it up, the character does a hard reset. No currency gets used, no food is found, the hunger level does not get replenished. If the sims orders a beverage or food at a food station/cantina bar, every sims involved in the action will do a hard reset. This bug does not occur if you order the popcorn.
What do you expect to see? I'd like my sims to eat. Right now it's impossible to play through Batuu without using cheats to keep my sims happy or play as a vampire/witch and make my own food. Either I'm stuck having to eat all the time the popcorn snack that barely fills my hunger level, or try to play the DLC and die from hunger because I can't eat anything other than the popcorn.

Please describe the patch or change you made. Never had an issue like that in the game before, it is only present in Batuu and only happened once I bought the game pack.

I have repaired the games, removed my mods, did a factory reset of the games entirely, removed my saves files and placed them all one after the other, checking my game each and every time, same with my mods, all trying to find where the issue lands, and the only time the issue did not occur was when I made a fresh game right after the factory reset and rushed to the world to order food, and this was the only time I could order any type of food before the issue happening again. If I do take my time on my sims file to do any other type of gameplay and don't rush to Batuu with the sole purpose of eating, the bug will occur. So far the only thing I did not do was reinstall the entirety of my games, which I am not sure would fix anything considering this issue is only present in the Batuu DLC and was not in the game prior to installing the game pack.

I reset my game to factory. I have no mods and no CC. This is still happening to me. It can't be mod-related because I have none.
