Unable to play Load Game/ Glitch in CAS

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? None, only base game
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Whenever I open the game, this happens, but only starting today. I clicked Load Game and pressed Play on my saved family. A loading screen popped up and then I had to choose a town. There were 6 options in circles, the towns that come with expansion packs. They were locked and say Required. I was previously playing in Willow Creek, but I cannot get to that game now. When I press New Game, and the game directs you to CAS, the Sim does not show up, but I can hear their voice and all other related graphics are there, except for slight glitching on the bottom that flashes a bit. In the lower left corner, it does not show the sim either.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim does not appear in CAS in New Game, but the voice and graphics appear but there is a flashing glitch on the bottom of the screen. In Load Game, I can't access my old family that I have saved. I have to choose a town.
What do you expect to see? My sim should load in New Game in CAS and I should be able to immediately go to Willow Creek when loading my game.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
