Unable to send friends away

Hello! It seems that my Sim is unable to send her friends home. My Sim and her husband threw a party to celebrate the birth of their twins but since then, their friends have been hanging around and it's at least three days. They eat, muck the house up, the appliances are always broken because they've been using them all time. They sleep everywhere and as soon as the twins start crying, they meddle with the parents and cuddle the babies.
My Sims life and relationship with their babies is basically disrupted by this mass of people who doesn't want to leave so my Sims spend their days repairing things and cleaning around. I have no way to make them improve in their careers or follow the babies. I tried to make them treat the friends badly and quarrel with them but I had no luck. 

Is there any way to send these people away? If not, could you please implement a new command for this? Right now playing is becoming rather boring and my Sims are very frustrated and unhappy.
