Unable to start the game - Initialization error

Hello everyone,

I am experiencing an issue where I cannot launch my game. Every time I attempt to start it, I receive the following error message : 

"Unable to start : Initialization error at start up. [135dec40:90f690cf:00000075:495f32a0]"

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps :

  • Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
  • Made sure both the game and my system are fully updated

Despise these efforts, the issue persists. Could you please assist me in resolving this problem ?

    Maristelya  This error is usually antivirus-related, so please set exceptions in yours for TS4_64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64, or the entire Bin folder they're in.  You may need to repair the game before this works.

    If that doesn't help, disable your antivirus (temporarily of course), repair again, and test the game.  If it works, reenable the AV and set the above exceptions before trying to play again.
