Always kicked back to world selection when trying to load household

Like many other people since the last "free" update, every time I try to load any household it just kicks me back to the world selection screen. Tried disabling mods, repairing the game, starting new game nothing works.

I'm wondering if the Sims team has said anything about this? Are they planning on fixing it? Been waiting like two weeks haven't heard a word from them about this...it's annoying how when they have some small pointless update coming they won't stop yapping about it but then when said update breaks the game and makes it unplayable for many of their players they are dead silent, not a word.

Don't even care if they're gonna fix it or not I just want to know so if they're not I can delete this off my PC and get refunded what I can from Steam.

Honestly at this point in my opinion I would attempt to get a refund for everything you purchased from this game. I don't see EA fixing anything unless more individuals express their frustrations and once EA does "Fix it" (I doubt it will be much of a fix) there will be another update riddled with bugs or make the game out right unusable in the future. I don't understand why they have gotten away with this but at this point it's just best to not expect much from this company anymore. They don't care.

  • Hjhgfdfuyrr33 BumpingMosquito  EA has acknowledged the problem across social media, and also here on the forums.  For example:

Investigating Game Launch & Save File Issues | EA Forums - 12500161

If you'd like further help troubleshooting, please repair the game and test in a clean user folder, as described here:

    [START HERE] Crashing/Back to Map/Endless loading (Patch 117.221) | EA Forums - 12512130

I realize you've already removed files, but it's critical to start with an entirely fresh folder and repair the game at the same time.

If that doesn't help, please post a dxdiag here.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

If this is meant as feedback, however, just let me know and I'll move this thread to the Sims 4 Feedback section of the forum.
