Very Frustrated-Error processing

Hi. I've come to my wits end with this issue.  I've asked for help through chat with the EA team and the problem still exists. I have an error box that keeps popping up with the following message:  Unable to start:  There was an error processing the startup configuration script. [6d1778b8:1df4e8dc:00000000:912c9c10]  (EA app)  I've tried all the steps that were suggested but there is one problem, I can no longer download Origin to repair the Sims 4 games.  I would love to go back to playing my game, being that it helps me stay sane from my days.  Can anyone help me pleaseeeeee.

  • @nubegining8  Have you tried repairing through the EA App?  If not, please do so now: open My Collection, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots, and select Repair.  If that doesn't help, clear the EA App's cache and repair again.

    If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use, and also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    @nubegining8 To repair this game pc users now have to use the EA app. To repair this game in the EA app just click the manage button and click repair. The game has to update (or patch or something) if the game was running under Origin and now to launch under the EA app. Usually you will see the game updating the first time you try to open the game in the WA app. Pc users no longer need Origin as the EA app iis no longer in beta. Origin is still there as mac users still need it. Not sure but Steam basae game user may need Origin. You can still find the Origin installer but once the game runs under the EA app it might mess up the game if you attempt to launch it under Origin.

    :') You do not know how much I want to Thank You. I have been Simless for an entire 7 days and it was very challenging coping without my Sim medicine.  When I saw that loading screen, a real tear starting to run down my cheek. Thank You, thank you and my sanity thanks you.  I will only get my answers from the HQ from now on.
