Very long loading times and UI issues after Update 1.125.59

Hello.

After updating my game to Version 1.125.59.1030 (DX11), I started experiencing several problems that did not exist before.

Problems

The game takes 20–30 minutes to reach the Main Menu.

Sometimes I get a white window when returning to the game after minimizing.

Some UI buttons do not work correctly (especially in Create-a-Sim).

Sometimes notifications or interface buttons become unresponsive.

The Marketplace has also failed to load at times.

Troubleshooting already completed

I have already tried all of the following:

Repaired the game through the EA App.

Removed all Mods and Custom Content.

Removed all Saves.

Removed my Tray files.

Created a completely new save.

Restarted the computer several times.

Installed Windows on a brand-new SSD.

The computer is working perfectly in every other application.

Test results

With no Saves installed, the game appears to load faster.

After creating and saving a brand-new game, the next launch becomes very slow again.

The new save loads correctly after the Main Menu finally appears.

The problem happens even without Mods installed.

Computer

Dell Inspiron 3583

Windows freshly installed

New SSD

Game Version: 1.125.59.1030 DX11

At this point I believe there may be an issue introduced after the June 30 update.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

Thank you.

  • JessyeRebecca  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.  Then restart your computer and try again.

If you still get long loading times, try again but with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

If that doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Marketplace UI is atrocious, Featured does not load and you are not able to "purchase" any content with in Marketplace
