Weird Game Version txt file

Hey everyone, anyone knows why my text file looks like this after last two hotfixes? It was fine with the update up until the 1st hotfix for the store button. I have: deleted cache, deleted the file...

    @jupkmn  I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue.  It's purely cosmetic in that it has no effect on the game, but if you want to know why it's happening, this thread has an explanation.

I was going to check my game version, went to "C:\Users\myusername\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" and opened the "GameVersion.txt" file, but insted of numbers it shows " ⸱〱⸵㐳⸵〱〲". Is this happening to anyone else? What chould cause this?
