When starting, black screen shows up and the game closes

So I have problem that when I try to start TS4, black screen shows up and the game minimalizes after a few seconds. When I try to open the minimalized one, white screen appears and then goes minimalized again. I've updated the Sims 4 few days ago and since the update with Bunkbeds I have problems starting The Sims 4.

I tried moving mods to my desktop, clearing Origin cache, repairing TS4 on Origin, disabling Origin-InGame, reinstalling Origin and restarting the laptop I play on.  When I cleared the Origin cache, it worked, but after 2 days, the same problem appeared again. I don't want to reinstall TS4, since I've been playing with these files for years.

  • @infeqted0  Just so you know, if you did reinstall Sims 4, you could preserve your saves and other data.  But I don't think that's necessary at this point.

Please try launching the game in windowed mode.  Open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, enter -w in the command line box, and save.  Then see whether the game works.

If it doesn't, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

It worked! I launched the game in the window, just like you said. I hope the problem won't occur again.

    Thank you really much!
