Which one to go for?
So a few months ago I did a topic asking what the best laptop to go for that will play all Sims with no issues and the person who gave me suggestions was very helpful but now I’m really wanting to ge...
Hi again @puzzlezaddict,
Where you’ve put ‘better card unless you spent £100 more’ - as in a graphics card? And spent £100 more on what? The laptop or card?
And where you’ve put ‘this is the next card up’ - what’s the next card up? The first link in your reply?
What about the ones with these prices in the link I put: £1,039.97, £999.97, £1,249.97, £899.97, £1,099.97
Don’t think I’ll go for anything under £850.
@WallFlower26 In this paragraph:
Its graphics card can handle all current packs together on ultra settings with some room to spare. You wouldn't be able to get a better card unless you spent £100 more. In case you're wondering, this is the next card up, but it's difficult to find in affordable laptops these days.
The first sentence was referring to the £750 laptop linked immedately above. And then I said you couldn't get a better graphics card unless you spent at least £100 more on a computer, for example, the model linked below, which has the graphics card (Nvidia 1060) that's the next one above the graphics card (Nvidia 1650) in the £750 laptop.
I don't know which laptops you're referring to when you list prices; there are multiple ones with the same price. But the most important factor is the graphics card. An Nvidia 1660 ti is already more powerful than Sims 4 needs, so if you're looking at a 2060 or 1070, it would be a waste of money unless you planned to play other more demanding games.
To make it simple, your three best options are to spend less money and get an Nvidia 1650, in which case the £750 Asus I linked before is an excellent choice; to get the Lenovo with the 1060, which is a faster graphics card; or to get a model with an Nvidia 1660 ti, which is overkill for Sims 4.
If you want a 1660 ti anyway, this £950 MSI is the best option below £1,100:

It has a slightly stronger processor than the Asus laptops at at the same price, and it has a 512 GB hard drive.
If you want an Asus, this one, for £1,030, is also a good option. Its processor isn't quite as strong as the MSI's, but it does have 16 GB RAM, which is great for multitasking while you play.

There are plenty of other options on other sites as well, especially if you want some configuration (for example, a more powerful processor, or more storage) that you're not seeing on this one site. Let me know what you want and how much you're willing to pay, and I can look around.
@puzzlezaddict Not in the link I sent there isn’t multiple ones with the same price.
I’d like a laptop that will play all Sims and future Sims with no glitches nice and smoothly.
@WallFlower26 Would you like to link a few specific laptops for me to look at, or would you like me to make some suggestions? Either way works for me. Just drop the links here and I'll take a look, or I can look myself tonight or tomorrow.
@puzzlezaddict here are the links. Can you make suggestions too?
