@SquishRK800 Does this happen if you play in borderless (the game calls it "windowed fullscreen") or windowed mode? It's best not to alt-tab out of a game running in fullscreen—many games don't react well to this, although a soft freeze is uncommon.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
